Information for New Staff
Calling in sick or for emergencies.
When you’re sick or otherwise unable to come to a shift it’s important that you call and speak to someone, not just a text.

The after hours number will be forwarded on to our Mobile Patrol team at any time of the day or night. Please make sure to call in if you know you cannot make a shift, so we have enough time to arrange cover.
Invoices
Contractors will need to fill out an invoice excel spreadsheet each week and email it through to stef@firstcontact.co.nz before midday Tuesday. Send the first three to operations@firstcontact.co.nz so we can check them.
Both contractors and employees need to text or email operations their weekly hours by midnight Sunday.
Detailed instructions, as well as the template, have been emailed to staff when they sign up, but contact us if you need another copy or have troubles
Leave
Please apply for leave at least two weeks in advance. Leave may be declined if there are too many staff already on leave, or if it is a restricted leave day. It’s important to apply for leave so we have time to find cover for the shifts.
Contractors are not required to apply for leave. However, if you work regular hours with us we ask that you apply for leave so we know when you are unavailable in advance.
You can email through the edited leave form from your welcome email, fill out the form below, send a photo of one that’s printed off, or come into the office to fill one out.
