Health, Safety, and Welfare

This is a brief summary of our Health and Safety Policy. Please get in contact if you ever need clarification regarding your health, safety or welfare.

For any accident, incident, or injury in the workplace we require you to submit an incident report via the R101 App. Give as much detail as possible, so file the report as soon after the incident as possible. Team Leads can give the staff member a break so they can fill this out.

Incident report hazards, including onsite hazards, equipment that needs repair, and PPE that is in low stock. If a site needs more equiment or new equipment please let your Team Lead know and contact operations.

Liaise with your Team Lead, and Operations, Team Leads will brief staff when onsite about possible hazards. All staff members should be identifying and assessing possible risks throughout the shift.

Please keep Operations updated on any injury and health concerns. We'll accommodate your recovery needs and make sure to provide suited alternative duties. For sick leave or injury we may require a medical certificate or ACC form.

The Company in no way supports condones or will tolerate any use of illegal or restricted drugs, nor will it tolerate any use of prescribed medication for recreational purposes.

Please remember
• Call 111 if necessary and make sure anyone injured or suspected of injury has received medical attention if required.
• Make contact with your Team Lead and alert them of the situation.
• Follow instructions from emergency services once they arrive.
• File an incident report and let Operations know of the incident.

Operations, management and Darryl are here to support staff and ensure their safety, in the case of any injuries or assault, please let us know of what you need. Staff are always welcome to get in contact or come into the office to discuss their concerns.

Training

It is First Contact's policy that all staff continue training and development throughout their employment. We train staff to a higher level than the mandatory papers required for a COA to ensure a consistantly high level of experience and qualification. Training is one of our methods to minimise and reduce risks and hazards. Each staff member agrees by way of signed Employment Agreement that they agree to undertake all training provided by the company.
